Johanna specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and medical conditions requiring nutrition therapy. Johanna applies a holistic intuitive eating approach to each of these conditions, tailoring recommendations to each patient's social, cultural, and emotional needs as well as medical concerns. She advocates for an 'anti-diet' approach focusing on sustainable change. Johanna works closely with members of the patient's treatment team to provide seamless patient care.

Johanna graduated from Samford University with a B.S. in nutrition and dietetics. She then completed her dietetic internship at the Medical University of South Carolina where she received over 1,200 hours of supervised practicum in a variety of settings. After earning her registration and licensure, she worked in both inpatient and outpatient clinical nutrition settings as well as corporate wellness. She has also received extensive training in the treatment of eating disorders through her work with Eating Recovery Center (ERC).
